I asked for tech help with one of the many classes I have taken from Kerri Bradford and got a response within the hour. My issue was not being able to access the class message board and it was fixed within 24 hours. I've never had any other tech problems and have taken all her Silhouette classes. The message boards and galleries are not very active but the classes are great.
Considering the Verve full release. I think for $50 it's a heck of a deal. I like the stamps and fonts and dies. I would use all of them. Yes, even the religious Christmas stamps. A lot of chevron but I'm okay with that, too.
That's not a bad deal. And even the religious set, I could use the frame, images & one sentiment. Though the butterfly (?) on that Chevron Love set is a little...odd. Kinda looks like a poorly groomed mustache.
I just bought some Fresh ink -- pads and reinkers. I went to put away the reinkers today, and they were really separated. Is this normal? I'm fine to shake up the bottle, but I'm wondering if the ink will separate on the pad.
just checked out Impress Fresh Ink - looks like a lot of nice colors. Maybe when I can afford them - are their promo codes usually 15% off? Are they connected with Amuse? The stamps look a lot alike and the calendars used to be a big thing with Amuse.
Can't figure out how to go to older posts on their blog though.
They are identical to Amuse but the colors are different. Yes, currently 15% off. Rarely 20% off for online orders because it takes so much time to pack them.
Dear PTI, Please note the swell packaging of stamps. Convenient and little waste: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dVFzLq8iA0&feature=c4-overview&list=UUzytaIO8NFjmX5Deydhw5Uw
And isn't that how most stamps are packaged? That's what all of mine are like. That package comes with a piece of card/paper with general instructions, etc., and that's usually in a thin plastic store display/hanging sort of bag. That's it. Put it all in a mailer and you're done!
The tissue wrap, boxes, card band and seals... blah blah blah... just SO unnecessary! Since pti changed their storage (no CD cases) I do use those plastic boxes to store my stamps, but I suspect most people don't - they probably integrate the stamps into an existing storage system. I still think they don't need those.
Interesting. I didn't even realize that Simple Stories was created by Memory Works. I guess it's good to see a company riding high on a good product line even though it means the end of another aspect of the business:
7:26 pm, Several posters on the HTHFR smack blog complained about SSS stamps. Now we have confirmation that the stamps are 100% photopolymer. BTW I am not assosciated with SSS. I also wondered what the SSS stamps were made of. The packaging ony says 'Made in USA'.
12:47 pm here. On the HTHFR blog, posters were complaining of beading on the stamps and many thought the stamps were acrylic because the packaging just said 'Made in USA". Other posters mentioned conditioning the stamps, but the OPs with problems said that they did try conditioning their stamps first. I haven't tried mine yet. But I was glad to hear KW say they were 100% photopolymer. She said it in the last part of the video when she was reviewing the good features about SSS stamps and not just the new features of the stamps. So, fingers crossed they stamp well.
I had a SSS package sit at their post office two weeks. After I received the package it appears they used a UPS only shipping label and the post office didn't know what to do. I found a way to send a search on the p.o. web site and surprisingly the package started on its way. I did get an email from a real person stating the package was moving but no explanation was given.
I know the best way to deal with a moron is to simply ignore their asinine comments, but it's really difficult when there are so many fantastically insulting things that could be said to her.
Instead, I'll just pity her.
So --- any predictions for PTI's November release? In the past, some of you have been spot on.
For 9:04 to 10:57 am, It is not criticism to let the blog owner know that it is difficult to read the text here. The colors that Stamp Smack uses here are * very difficult * to read. I am glad you all have 20:20 vision. But you need to get a life if a request is what bothers you.
10:57 am / 12:56 pm, So you weren't smacking 8:42 am?
What deleted poster are you talking about? If the blog owner did delete someone, why would she not delete the nutcase posting between 12:444 am and 1:14 am?
Absolutely not smacking on people asking for a color change! I think those are good suggestions - I'm sure these colors are a template default and maybe she'll change them at some point.
And I don't know -- at the time I wrote that, I scrolled back and thought the nutcase's posts had been deleted... my mistake, they weren't. I wonder if this blog owner is just going to let it fly. Personally, I skip past the overnight garbage she spews, so I won't see any legit posts buried in there.
So - yes, I was smacking the nutcase (like your choice of words, btw), and oops, I had thought those comments were deleted. Thanks for asking. I'm pretty sure 99.9% of visitors feel the same way about those comments.
love gray on blue. please keep it. in fact prefer a lighter font and darker background. in fact prefer a rose background and orange font. in fact perfer a banana split. you guys fall for it every stinkin time!!!!
Some of us are just basically nice decent people who like to talk about stamping stuff and stamp companies anonymously so no one can attack us personally in the real world for our opinions.
I'd rather be that person than the one who just likes to irritate and annoy everyone and play stupid games.
Test.
ReplyDeleteAnyone here having trouble getting tech support at Kerri Bradford?
ReplyDeleteThanks!

ReplyDeleteThanks for giving us a new home!
ReplyDeleteThanks. I was just told she was on vacation. I will be patient a little while longer.
ReplyDeleteThanks for jumping in with a new blog!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks to ECPG - hope she joins us here when she can.
(Is the type on this blog super small for everyone else? I can zoom in a bit but having a hard time seeing it very well.)
Yes, it is a bit small.
ReplyDeleteI made the font size a bit bigger. Does this work for everyone?
ReplyDeleteYes, much better. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteConsidering the Verve full release. I think for $50 it's a heck of a deal. I like the stamps and fonts and dies. I would use all of them. Yes, even the religious Christmas stamps. A lot of chevron but I'm okay with that, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the new space, StampSmack.
That's not a bad deal. And even the religious set, I could use the frame, images & one sentiment. Though the butterfly (?) on that Chevron Love set is a little...odd. Kinda looks like a poorly groomed mustache.

ReplyDeleteYes, they naturally separate. Just shake well each time. It does not separate on the pad.
ReplyDeletejust checked out Impress Fresh Ink - looks like a lot of nice colors. Maybe when I can afford them - are their promo codes usually 15% off? Are they connected with Amuse? The stamps look a lot alike and the calendars used to be a big thing with Amuse.

I don't think there are any older posts on their blog yet. Check out the Project Ideas for lots more inspiration.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they do 20% off on Black Friday? Can't remember. The ink is great!
They are identical to Amuse but the colors are different. Yes, currently 15% off. Rarely 20% off for online orders because it takes so much time to pack them.
ReplyDeletethank you! will have to give it a try - keep those discount codes comin' !

Simon Says Stamps are 100% photopolymer, according to this SSS video with Kristina Werner.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dVFzLq8iA0&feature=em-uploademail
Think how much we could save in postage if they would quit thinking that they are a high class boutique!
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell. Why are you pushing SSS? Pay for advertising. Or else you are some schmo doing the adverts for free for them.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. I didn't even realize that Simple Stories was created by Memory Works. I guess it's good to see a company riding high on a good product line even though it means the end of another aspect of the business:

7:26 pm,

BTW I am not assosciated with SSS. I also wondered what the SSS stamps were made of. The packaging ony says 'Made in USA'.
I have only had good experience with SSS stamps.
ReplyDeleteSorry 12:47- I must have missed that question on the old blog.
ReplyDeleteI hear about 50/50 on their customer service.
Their shipping can be painfully slow, but the product has always been good for me.

ReplyDeleteStamp Smack,
ReplyDeleteCould you please make the type black rather than grey?
It is hard to read against the blue background.
Thanks.
Who care what color the font it. That's ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteThe ECPG blog be dead.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't a blog.
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, it be gone.
ReplyDeleteShe gave it up cuz she's going to school? It's not like her "blog" took hours to write. She didn't write anything. Whatever.
ReplyDeleteFresh more color cover wall material lights go every

It's very difficult to read this grey text on the blue background.

ReplyDeleteITA
It wasn't criticism. It was a request to help those of us who find this site very hard to read. SMH
9:04 am - you are an idiot.
ReplyDeleteAnd 10:57 am as well.
ReplyDeleteI am also having difficulty reading the grey on blue.
ReplyDeleteThis is 10:57 - I'm an idiot because....???
ReplyDeleteThe only thing I can think of is that I dropped to the deleted posters level and actually commented on that fool. Yes, I was an idiot for that.
Thanks to the blog owner for deleting the pathetic person's posts.
10:57 am / 12:56 pm,
ReplyDeleteSo you weren't smacking 8:42 am?
What deleted poster are you talking about? If the blog owner did delete someone, why would she not delete the nutcase posting between 12:444 am and 1:14 am?
12:24 pm,
ReplyDeleteITA. This 'grey on blue' is very hard to read.
Stamp Smack,
Please consider changing to 'black on white'.
Hey there 1:03.

I love pink font on black background
ReplyDeleteOrange font on blue background is much better. It's so pretty. I love it.
ReplyDeleteWho cares
ReplyDeleteblue font on green background
ReplyDeleteGreen on pink
ReplyDeleteCan I really think about the camera on the top of the wall or should I just fluff it?
ReplyDelete7:12 pm, it's 1:03 pm. Sorry for the confusion. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI just scroll by the nutcase. I've read it all before on HTHFR.
I do find this 'grey on blue' format is really hard on my eyes.
New post is up.
ReplyDeleteGreat, now some larger font and we are set, please.
