PTI closely monitors its forum. The forum used to generate a huge % of its sales. PTI is hurting now. Dont ask me how I know all this; if you don't believe me that is ok. "Carol" is a perfect example of what a mess this company has become. How many companies have a half baked IT guy who is self taught create a website/store and refuse to listen to suggestions/criticisms, who monitos the forum and is grateful for particpants, who hangs out on a smack blog responding to comments using a fake name. And he is divorced from one of the owners and supposedly has another "full time" job.
Tip to those wanting to unload PTI stamps. Have you thought of making your items available to post to the UK and sell them on ebay? It only costs about $8 to post a set and you get reasonable prices. Someone bought a circles cover plate for the equivalent of $30.00, it was new but you could maybe get back what you paid! I know some crafters that would thank you for it!

This used to be a place for interesting conversation about PTI and other stamp companies and I came here for info and tips. There have been lots of helpful nice people "here" (including the predecessor, ptismacklite).
And it's not the late night fool that has me fed up. I can ignore that idiot easily enough. It's the people attacking the personal lives of complete strangers that bothers me, and the people who just make things up to get people going. It's one thing to speculate based on observations about businesses, and be clear that it's speculation, but another entirely to come out here and act like you know all of the insider details when I'm 99% sure that no one here does. Those people are just manipulative and have a warped sense of entertainment.
I liked hearing other people's thoughts about Amuse, and SU at times, and have heard about new companies here that I would know nothing about otherwise. I've picked up on helpful hints and warnings about other companies too.
And I've liked being able to speak my mind anonymously and then hear input from other people. My thoughts on some topics are pretty innocuous but I still don't want to be read in the context of my public persona, and some people would not understand if I criticized or commented openly. But there's something to be said about validation and I've found that here on some topics.
I've also been set straight a few times. I've posted critically about some things only to have someone else present the other point of view, and I've had my mind changed. And I've come back to say, hey, maybe I was wrong, thanks for the info. These are times I am especially grateful to be anonymous, lol!
But the nonsense just isn't worth the time. Wading through the crap and the rumors and the sheer meanness of some of the people here is just toxic. I will find the rest elsewhere and not have to deal with the bad language, the attacks, the rumors, and the psychoses.

This place is a prime example of what is wrong with the world today. Good is deemed evil and negativity and discord are embraced. The only way to make things better, if only in a small way, has to start in the heart of each person. Why not think before you post by asking yourself if someone will be hurt by your words. How can we expect our children to do the right thing if we aren't good examples. Would you allow your child to post hurtful comments. I think that's called bullying. Are you guilty of it? Think about it.
Then my FB wall is bullying. I have spoken out against the way Walmart and McD's treats their workers. I have spoken out against congress. I have spoken out against daycares that don't treat children well. I have spoken out against retail businesses who don't stand behind their products and who cheat others. I have spoken out against social injustices. I guess I am a bully with a bad heart because I don't just stay silent. Yes, I post things that can be hurtful in support of those being hurt. I post against those who are racists, homophobes, etc. and yes, in some cases it hurts them enough that they become angry. If our goal in life is to avoid hurt, then our goal in life means we are silently passive. Not going to happen here. Society is changed with passion, actions, and words.
Julie and Nichole do not hurt their customers! They run a business, and according to thousands of customers every month, they do a pretty good job. And they have sold and shipped millions of products to people who use and enjoy them without all the drama associated with this blog. Out of the millions of products shipped, a VERY SMALL percentage have an issue that needs to be addressed. And out of that small percentage, only a fraction do not get resolved to the satisfaction of the customer. This is why they are still in business and growing. And this is why this blog means nothing to them. So rant on if you must, but know that your rant speaks more about you and who you are as a person than it does about PTI and their business practices.

I saw their store today for the first time, and am liking some of the sports and Valentine sets. There's evidently a 20% off sale through 11/27. I probably wouldn't order without a sale, since at each price point some of the sets don't seem to be as large as what I'm used to.

A very small percentage? You must be kidding. I have run a stamp club for 6 years. All of us purchased repeatedly from PTI. Out of the 9 of us 7 have had experiences that they would consider very, very poor customer service. Not minor issues. Out of those 7, 2 have had 3 more bad experiences, and 5 have had 2 bad experinces. The experiences were bad enough that not only will any of us buy, but we no longer use any PTI products at our club so no one will feel the urge to fall in love and purchase a PTI item. We use almost all WPlus9, MFT, and SU products now. Do not have the balls to tell me it is only a small percentage because I have first hand seen damaged cardstock, bad ink, missing or misspelled stamps, incomplete orders, refusal to accept returns, credit never given for returns and in one case, after a bad and vocal experience one of our members lost her 31 reward points and they rejected all her emails asking about them. Talk about retribution for speaking out!
I say that because #1, she did not sit there and take a poll to find out those numbers. She just made them up. #2. Nobody has EVER lost rewards points. #3, PTI has never accepted a return and then not given credit for it. #4, what kind of idiot would have all those bad experiences and still shop at an online retailer?
Why does anyone believe any of the things posted about PTI on this so-called "blog" when all of the comments are annonymous. People talk big when they can hide behind anonymity.

Haven't ordered since. I still take a look at the releases, mostly wondering how anyone can still be following this company. The designs have gone downhill. At this point I'm gunshy about investing in another company like I did with PTI. I guess I'm afraid of being burned again. I follow Gina K but don't love the stamps as much as I'd hoped. In the meantime, I have card stock and ribbon but a bunch of ink pads that are exhibiting an awful smell. I won't even bother to take that to customer service. They'd probably just consider me as one of the stupid suckers who fell for their mediocre products.
Posting anonymously that you have lost rewards points is just a lame attempt to do PTI harm. If you have actually lost points, why wouldn't you use your name here? Stand up for yourself! Or better yet, go to PTI customer service and have them do an audit of your account. Then report back to us what they say.
